Sheriff’s office releases new details about cause of death in Oceano homicide case

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office released new details Tuesday about the investigation into the death of Lawrence Bross.

The 90-year-old was found dead in his home located in the 1400 block of Strand Way in Oceano on Jan. 24, 2019.

Bross’ death is being investigated as a homicide.

Sheriff’s officials say an autopsy determined the cause of death to be “multiple chop force traumatic injuries.” They have not said what type of weapon was used.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Bross’ death.
