A woman was arrested for DUI in connection with a crash near Guadalupe last week that left her and her passenger with major injuries.
It happened Friday shortly after 6:45 p.m. in the area of Brown Rd., west of Highway 1.
The California Highway Patrol says the driver, identified as Johanna Prado, 38, of Guadalupe was heading westbound on Brown Road when her vehicle went off the road and hit a boulder. The car landed on its roof.
Prado and her passenger, a 28-year-old man from Santa Maria, were extricated from the vehicle. Both reportedly suffered major injuries.
Officers say Prado was later arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
