The man killed in a crash at the Oceano Dunes Friday has been identified by State Parks officials as Chor Vang.
The 34-year-old from Sacramento crashed at around 2 p.m. Friday while riding with friends in the Vent pipe area.
Officials say Vang approached the top of a hill and put his foot on the brake. He then reportedly went over the handlebars of his ATV and fell down a 25- to 35-foot dune.
The ATV continued down the hill, crushing Vang, according to State Parks.
He was the only one on that ATV and no one else was injured.
Alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the crash.
