This year’s Monster Truck show at the Santa Maria Valley Strawberry Festival will also feature Moto X riders and Quad Wars.
The show will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, in the Minetti Arena.
It’ll feature some of the top freestyle Moto X riders in the nation, including Fitz Army/Metal Mulisha superstar Jimmy Fitzpatrick, performing breathtaking aerial maneuvers.
The Monster Truck portion of the show will include a competition between Tony Canedo, also known as The Flying Spaniard, driving “Playing for Keeps” against Jeff Souza driving “The Enforcer.” Plus, 11-year-old Corbin Schockey will show off his freestyle skills in his mini monster truck, “High Risk.”
The Quad Wars will pit Team Santa Maria against Team LA in a race around the arena on a course through sharp turns and jumps.
Tickets are $15 and include admission into the festival. They can be purchased online.
The Santa Maria Valley Strawberry Festival takes place April 26-28 at the Santa Maria Fairpark, located at 937 S. Thornburg St.
Gates will open at noon each day and close at 10 p.m., although the carnival may stay open as late as midnight.
