The first flight from the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport took off Tuesday morning.
American Airlines is providing the daily, nonstop service between the two cities.
The Embraer 175 jet has 12 first class seats, 20 main cabin “Extra” seats with additional legroom, and 44 seats in the main cabin.
This brings the total number of daily flights out of San Luis Obispo to 16 with service to six major cities.
The San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport also offers flights on United Airlines and Alaska Airlines to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Seattle, and Denver.
