The California Highway Patrol is asking for the public’s help to locate a vehicle that’s believed to have hit a pedestrian on Highway 101 in Montecito over the weekend.

It happened in the southbound lanes just south of Olive Mill Rd. at about 2:10 a.m. on Saturday, March 23. The pedestrian was killed in the collision.

Investigators are looking for a 2014-2017 Dodge Durango. The color is unknown, but the CHP says the involved vehicle would have front end damage to its lower front bumper. The frame to the driver’s side fog lamp was reportedly left at the collision scene.

Anyone with information about this investigation is urged to call Officer Vasquez at (805) 967-1234.
