Registration is open for the 2019 March Triathlon Series at Lopez Lake.
The race, which combines cycling, running, and swimming, will take place this year on March 24.
The triathlon is hosted by the Cal Poly Triathlon Team and is open to anyone over the age of 13.
Organizers say the event attracts more than 600 participants, spectators and volunteers each year.
“It’s a good way to challenge yourself and… to be around people who are motivated and also have similar goals, especially for the team. It’s really motivating to have them supporting you and to do something that most people don’t really want to do or have the desire to,” said Mauria Nakamura, March Triathlon Series Race Director.
