The California Highway Patrol has released a description of the vehicle they say may have been involved in last week’s deadly hit-and-run in Paso Robles.

Authorities previously identified Nathanial J. Weatherly, 22, as the pedestrian killed after being hit in the southbound lanes of Highway 101 near the 13th Street overpass Thursday morning.

Since that time, investigators have been trying to locate the vehicle involved in the crash and said Monday they are looking for a gold-colored Toyota Sienna minivan with a year model possibly between 2004 and 2007.

CHP says the minivan could have damage to the front of the vehicle, including the front end, bumper, grille, windshield and fenders and may have already been taken in for repairs.

Investigators say they believe “there is a strong possibility” that the driver involved in the collision lives in the northern part of San Luis Obispo County or southern portion of Monterey County.

Anyone with information that may help authorities is asked to call the Templeton CHP Office at (805) 434-1822.
