Southern California Edison could shut down power in high-risk fire areas in Southern California.

The energy company said it is monitoring weather conditions and has crews ready to respond.

The National Weather Service issued a red flag warning for parts of Los Angeles, Ventura, San Bernardino, Riverside and Orange County.

To prepare for a possible power outage check your homes emergency supplies like flashlights or batteries. Do not use candles for lighting because they could cause a fire hazard.

The Santa Barbara County Office of Emergency Management sent out a fire weather watch going into effect from Monday morning to Tuesday night Sunday morning.
