Volunteers needed for annual homeless count in San Luis Obispo County

San Luis Obispo County is in need of volunteers for the annual “Homeless Point-in-Time Count” coming up on Monday, Jan. 28.

County officials say teams of volunteers and experts will fan out around the county to conduct a visual tally of those experiencing homelessness. The information gathered is used to help determine needs and plan for homeless assistance programs.

Volunteer training sessions will be held ahead of the count.
