Santa Barbara County is in need of volunteers for the annual “Homeless Point In Time Count” coming up on Thursday, Jan. 24.
County officials say teams of volunteers and experts will canvas assigned routes throughout the county to document those experiencing homelessness. The information gathered may be used to plan homeless assistance programs and raise public awareness.
Volunteer training sessions will be held ahead of the count.
