In our We're Open segment, we're shining a light on the businesses that make up our community and are staying open.
"The Shift Food Truck and Catering" in Santa Maria is one of those businesses.
Owner James Gentry said he saw a need for food trucks in the community.
COVID-19 forced him to closed the truck for six weeks, but now it is back open.
Gentry said he's taking all the necessary precautions, including wearing masks and disinfecting.
"It feels amazing to be back. Our community is supporting us... You know, we're so blessed," Gentry said.
The food truck travels to several locations throughout the week.
