In our "We're Open Central Coast" segment, we are shining a light on the businesses that make up our community and are staying open amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Boost Nutrition has been open for about seven months and specializes in healthy meal shakes and energizing teas.
As a way to give back, owner Bridget Devaney has started collecting contributions from the community in an effort to supply hospital workers, police officers and more with energizing elixirs.
Devaney calls the initiative 'Mission Boost SLO'.
So far, she has provided more than 400 drinks around the county and that number keeps rising.
"You know whenever one of the administrators from the hospital says, 'Thank you, everybody loved it.' It's just like this swelling of emotion and just gratitude that we're to give people something delicious and but also nutritious and healthy in this time," Devaney said.
This week, Devaney has provided workers at French and Arroyo Grande hospitals with drinks.
Boost Nutrition offers pick-up or delivery if you are in need of a boost.
If you are one of the business owners keeping the doors open or if you know of one who is we want to hear from you.
