When it comes to buying candy, a lot of the fun comes from the experience of picking the gummy and chocolate candies in the store yourself, but these days that's not possible.
SLO Sweets in Paso Robles, formerly known as Powell's Sweet Shoppe, is now offering curbside pick-up to local customers.
They're also shipping their treats across the country just in time for those who celebrate Easter.
SLO Sweets is giving gift certificates to local school teachers to reward their students while they're taking online classes.
The co-owner of SLO Sweets said she hopes to spread joy to the community during this difficult time.
"Our candy store is not a heroic profession. We're not firefighters or teachers or doctors and nurses on the front lines, but in our little way, we help, in this time of despair, bring little happiness and sweetness to children as well as adults," said Miranda Battenburg, co-owner of SLO Sweets.
SLO Sweets has been in business for the past 13 years.
There's another location in downtown San Luis Obispo.
