Good morning Central Coast!
Monday shaped up to be a beautiful day across the region with sunshine, warm temps and a continuation of those pesky winds.
Today we continue that pattern, with a few tweaks.
Most communities are clear to start the morning commute, the only exception is in the Paso Robles area where some fog is pushing south through the Salinas River Valley. This will clear up quickly but be cautious of patchy dense fog and limited visibility this morning.
Today will be another beautiful day as high pressure continues out dry and warmer temps. Here is a look at the high temps for today.
Winds are conintuing to be a bit of a concern with gusts up to 45 mph in passes, peaks, and canyons. This is most focused along the south coast where an advisory has been issued through 3 a.m. Wednesday.
By Thursday, temperatures are forecast to soar into the mid-70s to lower 80s inland, while coastal valley temperatures may warm to the mid to upper 70s, beaches will reach the upper 60s.
Looking ahead to the weekend, the forecast becomes less clear as an upper low is projected to cut off and drift westward. The exact position of this low remains uncertain for us that means that cloud cover will push into come California communities, just not clear as to where exactly.
The most likley outcome with what models are currently saying is that high pressure will continue its hold on the region and keep our temps high, albeit with a couple of degree decrease.
The weekend looks clear and warm with highs above normal and abundant sunshine!
Have a great day Central Coast!
