Good morning Central Coast!
Happy Friday, as we move towards the holiday weekend is is another cloudy one. Onshore winds have pushed a deep marine layer onto the coast. Clouds and some patchy low fog are in place this morning but by afternoon sunshine will be in place once again.
Unlike the past few days the majority of the sunshine will be mid day. This evening a sharp trough of low pressure is headed to the golden state. For us this will bring in fog earlier than previous days. Tonight will be even foggier.
Before the clouds return high temps will be near the previous days readings. 70s in the interiors, 60s by the coasts and beaches may even stay in the 50s despite sunshine.
As the clouds move in tonight significant winds will push through. Gusts up to 45 mph are possible along the Gaviota Coastline. This is enough that a wind advisory is in place from 2 p.m. through 9 p.m. Friday.
Saturday will start off cloudy but will clear quickly. It will still be chilly but not a wholly cloudy day.
Memorial day will begin a warming trend that will bring temps closer to normal by the end of the week. Morning cloud cover and fog will be a staple through the extended forecast.
Have a great day Central Coast!
