A not-so-spooky forecast for Halloween but another storm is headed our way

Good morning Central Coast! As we kick off Halloween temps are chilly with pockets of dense fog. While the start of the day is a little *spooky* the day will still be a great one!

Another round of early morning frost in those interiors is expected. Grab that extra layer on the way out the door some spots are dipping into the 20s once again.

The main story in our forecast is a weakening cold front approaching the Central Coast this afternoon. While rain will primarily impact areas north of Monterey County, there’s a slight chance of light rain showers extend to North San Luis Obispo County. The passing front will bring more noticeable winds but besides that there isn't much concern.

Temps will be close to the last few days and still cooler than normal.

Here is a look at your trick or treating forecast across our communities.

Once the cold front passes we can expect mostly dry and cool with occasional high clouds Friday. You can expect a few scattered low clouds in the morning, but they should clear by midday.

There is a storm system headed our way for Saturday morning. Here is the latest.

Expect rain to reach most areas by Saturday morning, starting in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties before spreading southward. Rainfall totals are low with most spots expected to get just hundredths of an inch of rain. Winds and cooler weather will be more noticeable.

Rain chances should diminish by Sunday morning, with lingering showers possible in mountain areas and the far eastern sections of Santa Barbara and Los Angeles Counties. Clouds will begin to clear through the afternoon, but it will remain cooler than average, with highs in the 50s to low 60s.

By Monday, a dry pattern returns with clearing skies as the storm system moves eastward. Expect gradually warmer temperatures early in the week, with highs returning to the 60s and low 70s in many areas. Offshore winds may develop, bringing gusty conditions to parts of southern Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties.

Have a wonderful day Central Coast!
