Good morning Central Coast!
Happy Friday! It is going to be a beautiful day and wonderful weekend across the region.
To kick off the day strong winds from the north west are persisting and while that is keeping skies clear, it is also keeping highs on the low side.
There is a high wind advisory in place for the South Coast through 3 p.m. and for the Santa Barbara county interiors until 10 p.m. There is risk for wind gusts upwards of 50 mph across passes peaks and canyons today. Take caution.
The winds will begin to calm this evening and will not be too much of a concern as we head into the weekend.
There are many holiday parades and festive activities going on this weekend. Here is a look at some details for all those events.
As the winds from the north calm down a high pressure will begin to move in. By early next week some offshore winds and abundant sunshine will bump temps up into the 70s across large portions of the Central Coast!
Have a wonderful day and weekend Central Coast!
