The Central Coast is drying out Friday afternoon, but before the morning commute drivers can still plan for a 20% chance of light rain.

Otherwise, marine low clouds and fog are expected to cover the region throughout much of Friday. Daytime highs will also be on the cooler side. The coastal regions, and even parts of the inland valleys will stay around the upper 50s to low 60s. For those in coastal valley communities, temperatures will be right around the low 60s.

Moderate 15-25 mile per hour southerly winds will be steady throughout most of the weekend. Saturday is expected to be mostly cloudy and the next chance for rain will be Sunday. Temperatures through the duration of the weekend will on the cooler side, stay close to the upper 50s and low 60s. The cooler conditions will continue as an upper-level low pressure system makes it's way towards the Central Coast Sunday through at least Wednesday. This system could bring significant rain to the area and snow levels are expected to be much lower.
