The weekend is starting out foggy for the beaches and coastal valleys. Similar to Thursday's conditions, the morning clouds and low fog will take their time to clear along the coast, making for a mostly cloudy afternoon.

Temperatures for the beaches will be close to the mid to upper 60s due to the marine layer influence over the coast. As for the coastal valleys, most peak temperatures will stay within the mid to upper 70s and the inland valleys will have a mix of 80s and 90s.

Any morning fog across the coastal valleys will mix out by late morning, making for a mostly sunny afternoon. The inland valleys will start out clear and stay that way through the afternoon hours. While most of the Central Coast will have mild winds throughout the day, the inland valley could experience peak wind gusts around 20 miles per hour with winds shifting out of the southwest.

A weak upper ridge will develop over the area by the weekend, which means the marine layer will become shallow and temperatures will trend up by a few degrees.
