Wednesday brought some significant rainfall to the Central Coast with most areas receiving over one inch of rain or at least getting pretty close to that.
Lingering and light scattered showers are expected throughout the morning commute Thursday, but by early afternoon much of the rain should start tapering off and leave the day mostly cloudy with temperatures from the upper 50s to the mid-60s.
Southerly winds will stay between 15-25 miles per hour starting in the afternoon, but there will be a shift in the wind pattern heading into the weekend. A wind advisory could be issued as early as Thursday night if winds get closer to the 35 mph mark.
A second storm system is on tap Friday through Saturday. Rain showers could touch down as early as 7:00 p.m. for northern San Luis Obispo County and the south coast region in Santa Barbara County. Generally, this system could produce 0.25-0.5'' of rain, but areas north of Point Conception could actually get at least another inch of rain.
After a rainy weekend, the start of next week will be dry and partly cloudy.
