San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara County are blanketed in smoke from fires burning across California.
As drift smoke continues to cover the sky, fire officials in Santa Barbara County say calls are increasing at their 911 center.
Public information officer Daniel Bertucelli with Santa Barbara County Fire took to twitter asking community members to please only call 911 if they are witnessing smoke from an actively burning fire.

According to Cal Fire's incident page, there are 24 active wildfires burning in California.
