Santa Barbara County firefighters quickly got a handle on a grass fire in the Santa Ynez Valley on Thursday.
It was reported at about 12:45 p.m. along the 2700 block of Ballard Canyon Road.
Fire officials say the fire burned about three acres in light grass surrounded by vineyards.
No structures were damaged and no one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
