A vehicle fire spread to vegetation along northbound Highway 1 just north of the California Men's Colony in San Luis Obispo on Friday.
It was first reported at about 4:25 p.m. near Kansas Avenue.
The vehicle was destroyed and about 1/2 acre of brush was burned, according to CAL FIRE.
