UPDATE (2 p.m.) - CAL FIRE SLO reports that forward progress of the fire has been stopped at eight acres.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

(1:43 p.m.) - A vegetation fire broke out Tuesday afternoon in San Miguel.
It was reported just before 1:15 p.m. near the 2000 block of Bald Eagle Way.
According to CAL FIRE SLO, as of about 1:40 p.m., the fire had burned seven acres and three structures were threatened.
The fire was reportedly burning in grass surrounded by roads.
