Firefighters quickly extinguished a brush fire that broke out off Highway 101 and Highway 166 in Nipomo.
CAL FIRE SLO responded around 2 p.m. Saturday to reports of a vegetation fire burning near Hutton Rd. and Hwy. 166.
The fire burned about 2 acres.

The southbound ramp of Highway 101 was temporarily closed as crews worked to access the fire.
Santa Barbara County Fire Department and the Santa Maria Fire Department assisted in putting out the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
