UPDATE (3:48 p.m.) - CAL FIRE reports that the fire has burned 125 acres and is 50 percent contained.
The cause of the fire was determined to be faulty electrical wiring associated with a residential water well booster pump.

(1:14 p.m.) - Firefighters are at the scene of a vegetation fire near Soda Lake Road in the California Valley area.
The fire was reported at about 12:30 p.m. Friday in the 13000 block of Culver Road.
Crews arriving at the scene reported one structure fully involved and another structure threatened.
As of 1 p.m., CAL FIRE said the fire had burned 25 acres and had the potential to burn up to 100 acres.
Fire officials said crews were making good progress with the help of air tankers.
