Growth of the Dolan Fire has significantly slowed since this time last week.

The Dolan Fire was burning thousands of acres daily a month after the fire broke out due to arson.

The fire broke out on Aug. 18 and has burned 128,417 acres and is 46% contained.

The fire has destroyed a total of 19 structures and damaged four others. As of Tuesday morning there are 535 fire personnel on scene.

After a month long closure, Caltrans announced on Monday that Highway 1 in the area is now open. Fire officials say there are still pockets of heat near the highway that will be monitored by fire personnel using infrared technology. Travelers are advised to continue using caution and be aware of emergency vehicles in the area.

There are some evacuation warnings and orders in place, which can be found here.
