Morning temperatures are really cooling down across the Central Coast and South Coast regions Monday morning. Atascadero and Paso Robles will likely have temperatures in the mid-30s during the first half of the 8 o'clock hour. Despite the near-freezing temperatures, no freeze watches or warnings have been assigned to the inland valley communities.
By the afternoon, cloud cover will not be a factor and skies will be clear. Temperature-wise, conditions along the coast will be cooler with temperatures from the low to upper 60s. The coastal and inland valley regions will have daytime highs from the low to mid-70s.
Santa Lucia winds will be moderate Monday, with peak wind speeds from 15-25 miles per hour. Onshore flow will return Monday night, ranging from Los Angeles County to the Central Coast. This trend could cool maximum temperatures by four to eight degrees and bring back the possibility of patchy morning fog Tuesday. Southern California has been dealing with multiple wildfires and gusty winds. By Tuesday night, another Santa Ana wind event will start across Los Angeles County.
