As expected we saw the coolest day of the week inland today but signs of change are already here. Temps will start a rebound over the weekend but triple digits hold off until Monday (we’ll be close) and Tuesday (where 100-105 looks likely).

Well, I have been telling you that all good things must come to an end.. like the mild start to the fair. Next week will be blazing.

At the coast we’ve had night and morning marine clouds and only partial clearing. The weekend features low to mid 70s in the coastal valley and mid 60s at beaches. Next week the increase in the ridge and surface high pressure will compress the marine layer out of the deeper valleys and limit it at the coast for a more muted warm up.

Maybe your weekend plans don't include the fair.. that's fine we have you covered.

By mid-week beaches will return to the mid 60s to about 70 while coastal valleys warm to the mid 70s to 80.

A ridge backs into The West next week. Temps will soar above 100 and later in the week we could see some increasing mugginess. The ridge could stay in place about a week before breaking.

That ridge of high pressure could allow for some increase of mugginess as the circulation under the ridge could bring sub-tropical air north. This ridge looks to have a firm grip on the area thru the 26-27th before it starts to break. This means folks in the interior will likely either be hot or hot AND muggy until just before the end of the month.
