Slight chance of rain Sunday morning before sunshine returns

Weather was pretty close to perfect across the Central Coast Saturday, with most areas seeing sunshine all day.

That might change for some areas Sunday, as there are chances for rain to briefly make a return.

Tropical Storm Alvin is generating moisture in our atmosphere, leading to small chances of rain Sunday morning/afternoon, gusty winds, and an increase in humidity.

There is a small craft advisory for our outer waters through Monday morning. In our inner waters, closer to shore, wind gusts will mostly stay below small craft advisory levels..

The best chances for strong winds will be in the afternoon and evening periods.

A cooling trend is possible later next week as the onshore flow strengthens.

Sunday, June 30th is the end of “rain season” but with already one named tropical storm system in the Pacific, we still may have some interesting weather ahead!
