We spent the day in the wake of a cold front which did bring some light rain to the area. Only one location managed .20″ everyone else was less than that in fact most reports were only in the hundredths of an inch variety.

Rain was under .25" for everyone and only a small handful of places got past .10" so I won't be reading a long list on air. Here is a look at the rainfall maps for the area for the last 24hrs.

The larger impact, as expected, were the winds. Breezy to windy this afternoon from the N-NW with some gust potential to 40 and 50mph which produced some advisories.

Central Coast wind advisory until 9pm and for the SB mountains, passes and canyons thru 3am

These winds will turn offshore in the morning hours over the next few days fueling a warm-up. 70s for Wednesday and 70s with some 80s, even upper 80s for some on Thursday. Near the coast the marine layer makes a rebound on Thursday night but inland the warm weather continues on Friday. Regardless there is a cooldown across the board over the weekend with more significant marine later at the coast. We could see our first slow clearing days of the marine later at the beaches. I think we’ll see a rebuilding ridge early next week for another warm-up.
