After a brief break in showers Saturday, cold and wet weather is expected to return through much of the weekend.

There’s about an 80 percent chance that light showers return to SLO County by Saturday night with gusts to 30 mph overnight.

Sunday, expect showers mostly before 10 a.m. with northwest afternoon winds 15 to 20 mph. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. The chance of showers drops off a bit by Sunday evening and winds calm down overnight.

Temperatures will stay cold, with daytime highs in the low to mid 50’s.

Snow levels could drop to as low as 2,500 feet Saturday and Sunday evening. There’s a good chance Interstate 5 near Grapevine will see some light snow.

For President’s Day, expect dry and warmer weather. There is a chance of another storm late Wednesday through early Friday.
