On and off light to moderate rain with windy conditions will continue into Thursday. There is another impulse early Thursday which should increase rain coverage and rain rates again. Those rates could near .50”/hr at times but right now the thinking is that local burn scars are not at significant risk of debris flow. There are no local flash flood watches or evacuation orders relating to the current wet weather forecast.

Winds will still be a concern with SE winds of 20-30mph with gusts to 45-55mph.

0.00-0.25” per hour rain rates today and early tonight

0.35-0.60” per hour Thursday with isolated rain rates to 1.0” per hour possible at times.

While much of today will only see scattered rain, again there is a Thursday impulse early and Friday looks to have on and off potential all day. It won’t come fast but decent accumulations are still possible.

Total amount of additional rain looks to be .5-1.5” thru Friday for coastal areas with some mountain locations 1.5-3”, but mostly Santa Barbara county or south.

Saturday looks dry but another system could bring rain again Sunday.
