60+ mph winds recorded Wednesday morning, gusty conditions to continue

The Central Coast got received some moderate rain during the commuting hours Wednesday. Below is a look at local rainfall totals as of 10:15 a.m.

This system is not only bringing moisture, but it’s packing a punch with the wind. According to the National Weather Service,  Lompoc Hills and Pt. Conception Lighthouse had 60+ mile per hour winds before 8:00 a.m. Other areas like Tepesquet reached 50 mph just after 4:00 a.m. and the Santa Maria Airport had winds close to 45 mph around 5:30 a.m.
