The Central Coast is slowly warming up through the weekend with temperatures getting close to the mid-70s. However, before we get there, overnight lows and early morning temperatures will be on the cooler side.

The coastal valleys and beaches will have temperatures in the 40s through the commuting hours before warming up to the mid to upper 60s by the afternoon. The interior valleys will likely stay in the 30s until 8:00 a.m. and then reach the upper 50s to mid-60s around 2:00 p.m.

A ridge of high pressure off the coast of California will bring warmer daytime highs to the area starting on Thursday. By then, the coastal valleys and beaches could have temperatures from the low to mid-70s by the 2 o’clock hour.

The interior valleys will likely stay closer to the upper 60s until Saturday before warming up close to the low 70s, which is when the ridge will shift over the state. Clear skies will also be a factor over the next four days or so.

As for the winds, they will be mild and offshore Wednesday. Weather models show they will increase by the afternoon, particularly in San Luis Obispo County. Later Wednesday night, they could reach a range of 20-30 miles per hour before tapering off Thursday morning.
