As a ridge of high pressure is located just off the California coast with a deep trough to the east of us. This puts the Central Coast under the influence of offshore flow the rest of the week. Currently the air is on the cool and dry side leading to cold overnight lows in the valleys and pretty cool at the coast as well. The air will slowly moderate as the pattern doesn’t look to change much into the weekend. The ridge actually slides to the east meaning temperatures look to get warm, 70s for all by the weekend.

Already coastal locations will see upper 60s as early as Wednesday with 70s Thursday-Sunday. Upper 70s are possible at some coastal locations Saturday.

Locally winds look pretty light overnight into morning with a 5-15mph offshore developing. Southcoast winds will be a little gustier thru passes and canyons but no advisory in place, there is one for Ventura and LA county where winds will be 20-30 with 40+mph gusts.

I think the weekend looks dry and warm. The ridge looks firmly in place into early next week. It looks to give way mid-week to a system dropping into Nor Cal, but that’s more than a week away. I will keep an eye on it.
