A ridge building over California in combination with the offshore flow is bringing temperatures up to above seasonal norms Wednesday. The coastal valleys and beaches will be around the low to mid-70s and the interior valleys will be close to the mid to upper 60s. These conditions will also carry over into Thursday.
After a couple of days of monstrous waves along the Central Coast, a high surf advisory will remain in place through Thursday night. Stretching from northern San Luis Obispo County to just south of Lompoc, the surf could range from 10-15 feet Wednesday before increasing to a 12-17 ft. Thursday.
Breezy conditions will persist through the morning as a result of offshore flow. Weather modeling indicates winds could be close to 25 miles per hour through 9:00 a.m. For the afternoon, the winds will calm down before increasing again Wednesday night. As wind speeds start to decrease, night and morning marine layer and fog will start to develop.
