High pressure, offshore flow keeps daytime highs warm Friday

Posted
and last updated

Temperatures continue to climb Friday as a result of high pressure and offshore flow.

Daytime highs for the interior and coastal valleys will mostly be in the upper 80s, but the Santa Ynez Valley has the potential to reach the low 90s. Along the coast, temperatures will range from the upper 70s to the low 80s.

Mostly sunny skies are in the forecast for Friday, but expect some stratus clouds and high-level clouds throughout the afternoon hours.

Moderate northwesterly winds will develop in the afternoon hours, mostly ranging from 10-25 miles per hour.

By Sunday night, marine layer and fog will return to the coast. Simultaneously,  temperatures will also start to cool down by a few degrees.
