Temperatures cool by 10 degrees, marine layer hugs the coast overnight

Temperatures are running 5 to 10 degrees cooler for Sunday, with the marine layer returning to the coast overnight.

Skies will be sunny on Monday as the clouds clear by late morning. Monday is expected to be the coolest of the next seven days.  The cooler temperatures are mostly caused by the switch from offshore winds to onshore winds.

Originally, forecast models showed the possibility of thunderstorms in the LA and Ventura County mountains. Models show there is much less instability than earlier forecasts, so thunderstorms have been removed from the forecast.
