Offshore winds were producing Red Flag Warnings for dangerous fire weather conditions across parts of Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties but these winds are not anticipated to develop again tonight. However, skies should remain mostly clear into Wednesday. Later Wednesday into Thursday, some marine layer rebound at the coast is possible but regardless, temperatures will stay pretty mild with beaches in the 60s to near 70, coastal valleys in the mid-70s to about 80 and inland temps in the low to mid-80s.
I don’t expect a lot of temperature change through Friday with high pressure continuing to drive quiet weather. Stronger offshore winds develop later Friday through the weekend with some potential of 90-degree temps returning for parts of the area.
Yesterday, models were optimistic about the potential for late month rain. Today, they have backed off a bit but still show a pattern that will feel more fall-like right as Halloween arrives.
