The ongoing story of this last week is all about what may happen next week concerning rain. The alignment of computer modeling is indicating some showers Tuesday-Wednesday of next week but providing less than .25″ of rain. Hurricane Rosa off the Baja looks to swing north however the bulk of its moisture looks to miss us to the south and east with our rain potential coming largely from an area of low pressure dropping in from the Pac NW. The leftovers of hurricane Rosa are an important part of the rain picutre so we’ll still have to monitor developments for possible forecast changes.

In the shorter term a big drop in temps is anticipated inland on Friday as high pressure breaks down. Friday still looks like upper 80s for northern SLO county with low 80s for the weekend. Low to mid 70s at the coastal valleys Friday thru the weekend and beaches in the mid 60s with night and morning marine clouds and afternoon clearing.
