Inland valley temperatures climbing closer to the 90s

Posted

As an upper-level trough passes through California, daytime highs are continuing to warm up with continued dry conditions.

Daytime highs for the inland valleys will have a bit of a range on Wednesday with temperatures from the upper 70s to low 90s. The coastal valleys will continue to have foggy mornings with late morning clearing, which by then will bring plenty of sunshine. Daytime highs in those areas will still be around the low to upper 70s.

The beaches will remain in the mid-60s to low 70s on Wednesday with marine layer hugging the coastline throughout the morning before conditions burn off by the early afternoon.

Winds will increase by the afternoon hours, which will push any lingering fog or cloud coverage off the coastline. Northwesterly winds will impact most of the Central Coast on Wednesday with gusts ranging from 25-40 miles per hour, and so far, there are no advisories in place.
