Air quality improves, temperatures stay mild

Posted

The air quality alert for San Luis Obispo County has expired as cleaner air has pushed into the region. In Santa Barbara County, the air pollution control board reports the air quality is moderate for Sunday.

Marine layer clouds have cleared through most of the coastal areas allowing for mostly sunny skies through the region in the afternoon hours.

Light to moderate onshore flow along the coastline is keeping temperatures moderate. Through the week, daytime highs are expected to stay steady. Inland locations are looking at the mid to high 80s in most locations, coastal valleys will reach the mid-70s and beaches will reach the high 60’s.

Night through morning low clouds and fog will affect the coast and coastal areas each day in the short term.
