Hot inland temps with smoke haze continues

Posted

This morning the Central Coast saw more marine layer this morning near the coast with smoke in the interior valleys.  I don’t see much change in this pattern Wednesday or Thursday.  The interior looks hot without much up valley flow (SW winds) to cool temps, so daytime highs 100-106 will likely happen for the next couple days.

At the coast more low clouds during the night and morning hours will push back to the beaches where they could linger at a few beaches keeping beach temps in the 60s with the coastal valleys a mix of 70s and 80s.

The ridge of high pressure weakens Friday into the weekend for slightly cooler highs inland but not a lot of change at the coast.
Middle of next week more significantly cooler conditions could develop as a trough of low pressure looks to dig into The West.
