Cooler temperatures at the coast, triple-digits still heating up in inland valleys

Posted

More cooling for the coast on Friday means more relief from the hot inland valley temperatures.  Morning marine layer will be an influence on daytime highs at the beaches and within the coastal valleys on Friday. The overcast conditions could linger throughout the afternoon and will keep temperatures in the 60s and low 70s.

Coastal valleys will warm up to the upper 70s to upper 80s with mostly clear skies. Heading into the weekend, temperatures in this region look to be fairly consistent and won’t have too much fluctuation day to day.

High pressure is still over interior portions of the state, which means daytime highs for the inland valleys are still reaching triple digits. Expect low 100s to 110 degrees on Friday and through the weekend. Looking ahead to the beginning of next week, consistency will be a trend throughout the region. Triple-digit temperatures will stick around through at least next Tuesday.
