Favorable temperatures for Memorial Day

Posted
and last updated

A ridge of high pressure will keep daytime highs on the warmer side Memorial Day.

The inland valleys will definitely be the warmest and will range from the mid-80s to low 90s. Coastal valleys will be slightly cooler, but still favorable, and in the low to upper 70s. At the beaches, temperatures will mostly be in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Here’s a look at daytime highs we can expect for certain areas throughout the Central Coast:

Arroyo Grande: 74

Atascadero: 88

Cambria: 69

Carpinteria: 63

Lompoc: 68

Morro Bay: 69

Paso Robles: 88

Pismo Beach: 71

San Luis Obispo: 76

Santa Barbara: 73

Santa Maria: 70

Santa Ynez: 78

Ahead of the warmer temperatures, there will be patchy fog throughout the morning. Once the marine layer and fog burn off, skies will be mostly clear through the afternoon before the fog makes its return Monday night. Winds will also be mild throughout the morning before they increase to about 10 to 15 miles per hour by the afternoon.
