Holiday weekend features clearing skies but stronger winds

A low-pressure system just off the coast is producing some drizzle/light rain showers and we could get in on more of that this evening before the system moves on.

Saturday looks like  transition day for the Central Coast.  We’ll see some early clouds which will hold temps down, by the afternoon some stiff NW winds develop at 15-25 mph gusting to 35mph.

This will clear out the skies but since the direction is onshore it’ll hold coastal temps down while inland temps take a jump.

High pressure will returns Sunday into Tuesday and temps warm, even near the coast.  Beaches return to near 70 Sunday but low 70s Monday and Tuesday.  Inland temps warm into the low 90s Monday and Tuesday (after 80s on Saturday).

Cooler temperatures will return mid-week as a trough approaches the coast and produces more marine layer and onshore flow.
