Posted

Cooler daytime highs are in the forecast for Thursday ahead of a slight warm-up.

Thursday, expect the beaches and coastal valleys to range from the mid to upper 60s with temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s in the inland valleys.

Winds will be mild early Thursday afternoon and then pick up from Lompoc to northern San Luis Obispo County. From northern Santa Barbara County to the Five Cities to Paso Robles, expect winds to be within a 15-20 mile per hour range with and gusts that could get up to 30 mph. Due to the higher winds, San Luis Obispo County is under an air quality alert until 3:30 p.m. Friday.

The overnight marine layer is still in the forecast for the next couple days, however, due to onshore flow, there will be clear skies by the mid-morning hours.
