Upper low moves over California

Posted

An upper low is moving over California and it produced some showers and even thunderstorms north of us, but locally the biggest impact has been an increase in the coastal winds.  There are several advisories in place for wind speeds and some blowing particulate matter in the Nipomo Mesa area.

High pressure temporarily builds in over the next few days.  Coastal winds will be strong in the afternoons so temps will be largely unchanged there but inland temps will increase into the 80s thru the weekend.

Another mid-level low will push over the area Sunday-Tuesday again keeping temps mild.

The upper air forecast shows enough variability to keep temps from getting too extreme for at least another week if not two.
